Sorry I don't take an xbox, so my merely pick was to install (to the PC) and now to Play (on the PC). Someone who has a linked Xbox account will need to assist.
this is so ridiculously convoluted. I was told it's not released, so i was told id take to call and the number they gave me is a paid support line
are you running windows ten? its possible its only showing yous the install to xbox considering of that

May sound stupid, only effort re-logging into your PC's MS account, then the MS store ?
Besides, some issues with AV'southward are popping upwardly, which aren't helping the process.

Go to windows 10 store. Go to your library of games (should be under account somewhere).
Install game.
Done.
Notation that you tin Just install this game on a Windows 10 system or XboxOne. And aye, you tin take them installed on BOTH simultaneously.

You see, my problem was thinking microsoft had a brain when they designed their windows store website and they had the ability to install from there like every other everything ever. Alas it was instead in an app that i didnt fifty-fifty know existed. Further complicating things was the fact that the website clarification of how to install them is also wrong.

Its literary taken me over a day only to figure out how to buy and install this ♥♥♥ game. Microsoft you're seriously a bunch of freaking retarded morons!
Start I tried buying the game of their spider web folio and got prompted to log in to my Microsoft account . I put in the password and it states it's going to send me a text to my phone number every bit an exstra precaution. Well the code never gets sent so I had to send them a ticket about it. Ironically whats supposed to serve every bit an extra precaution, is exactly whats preventing me to log in to my account and buy the encarmine game. After buying the game through a third political party I finally go the lawmaking and the instructions just cover how to redeem the code on www.xbox.com/redeemcode. I do so and get the bulletin:

At no bespeak was I asked if I wanted the game on my pc and I'thou give no ♥♥♥ explanation on how to do and then. Its like Microsoft live in their own dam bubble with no contact with the outside world. Its seriously beyond incompetents.
Anyhow,.. Get to Microsoft Shop that you can find by scrolling down your apps on your Windows push button. Log in - and click on the "..." button on your far right corner. In this drop down menu click the Library. Find your game and install it. And if you ever come across someone working for these idiots simply shoot him.
Aye hate the microsoft store, SOD2 was the first game I bought from their store, after information technology being way besides complicated instead of intuitive, Iam never buying from their store once again, don't care if they release the best game in the earth I'd charge per unit information technology as trash if it'south simply able to buy from their shop. I'd form the microsoft shop equally autistic.

you're not missing out on that much. I beat it with the xbox game pass, and I tin safely say information technology'southward not as fun as the original, and I wasn't even interested enough to do a 2nd playthrough, even though it incentivises you to with new-game perks.
You need to install Xbox app aswell. From there you tin can play Microsoft games using your pc.
I was confused aswell
I am patiently waiting for it to come up to steam. I got the Xbox GamePass and used 20gb of my monthly 100gb via MS Store on Windows 10 (I'm on satellite internet due to location) and it started up well and ran ok. Then some other 20gb update dropped... I was stupid enough to start the download then realized I can't download it till the post-obit month. However, since i started the download I could no longer launch the game for the rest of the calendar month...
The post-obit month I continued the download and got the 20gb patch which proceeded to brake my game so I couldn't launch information technology anymore. Solution = re-download and install the game... expect another month.
Adjacent month comes forth, I re-download and install the game once more and it works! Now another 7gb patch dropped (patch two.00). I can't download information technology.
If this game was on Steam I would take 0 issues since I do all my Steam downloads from another location where my net isn't limited, put them on USB and bring them home and install information technology that way so I don't apply my limited data. The MS Store Apps can't be backed up. Y'all can move them to some other drive only if you move to USB, you lot tin't very well transfer to another PC, install to USB and and so move to HDD cause it volition break the game yet again.
I want the game on Steam ffs.
